Kwong is a qualified GLA:D and APA Sports Level 2 Physiotherapist after completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra and joined Bruce Sports Medicine in 2020.
He has degrees in Sports Science, Physical Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Football Medicine, and a master’s degree in Sports Medicine. His interests include arthropathy (joint disease, of which arthritis is a type), tendon pathology, neuromuscular conditions, and athletes' chronic lower back pain management. Kwong has a strong belief that active treatment, education, and exercise can help patients to achieve their goals for a better outcome.
He runs the GLA:D program in the rehab gym at Bruce Sports Medicine alone with a variety of physiotherapist led small group rehabilitation classes. Kwong focuses on appropriate loading and recovery to balance the progression and pain management. Kwong does other post-operative and ACL non-surgical rehabilitation in the gym.
Kwong is the team physiotherapist for Canberra Raiders’ Junior Squad, Canberra Spirit Netball, and Belconnen United Football (Men) Team. He has worked for different national and local teams (including Hong Kong Women Hockey National team, WA futsal national team, Canberra United Academy, Capital Football TSP program, Wests’ Rugby, Gungahlin Jets AFL and Queensland's Master indoor Cricket team)
Kwong is a former Hong Kong Junior representative rower and canoe polo, he enjoys basketball, hockey, and swimming. Kwong was a coach of basketball and rowing from school to state level. He has extensive knowledge about loading management and strength and conditioning.
You will see him around the fields in Canberra and NSW covering different games during the season, he also loves traveling, staying with family and his two children during the off-season.
