Tristyn is passionate about sport and the care of athletes. She has always had a strong interest in Sports Medicine and believes that through sport and enhancing our movement we can all gain better quality of life.
After completing her Medical Degree at the University of Wollongong, she completed her basic hospital training in Lismore. Tristyn then travelled to Jindabyne where she completed her GP training. She has gained valuable experience in many mountain sport injuries – including snow sports and mountain biking. Tristyn completed a Diploma of Sports Medicine through the IOC in 2020.
Tristyn represented Australia as an equestrian vaulter for 10 years internationally and then continued into the role of National Coach. She has attended World Equestrian Games as competitor and Chef dÉquipe (National Team Manager).
Tristyn has always been a passionate sports participant with experience in many sports. This includes multisport races including Sri Chinmoy, Cross country triathlons, multiday mountain bike races including the Cape to Cape in WA, road cycling, surf life-saving, surf boat rowing, kayaking, rock climbing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing and a range of equestrian sports. She is the current team doctor for Canberra United (A league womens). She is always willing to try out something new! In her down time she enjoys new adventures, good food, red wine and cups of tea with family and friends.
