Dr Yeong Joe Lau is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of New South Wales and trained as an orthopaedic surgeon in Sydney.
Following the completion of his training, he undertook further subspeciality training in hip, knee, ankle and foot surgery. This was in Canberra, London, Amsterdam, Liestal and Sydney.
Joe now cares for public and private patients in Canberra via his multiple hospital appointments. He operates at Canberra Private Hospital, Calvary Private and Public Hospitals, Calvary John James Hospital, National Capital Private Hospital, Queanbeyan Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. He also participates on the on-call roster for trauma at The Canberra Hospital.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He has authored multiple publications in peer reviewed orthopaedic journals and presented papers at national orthopaedic meetings. He is involved in the training of orthopaedic registrars at The Canberra Hospital in his role as a Director of Training.
