Wilson is a sports doctor who can help diagnose and manage your sporting and musculoskeletal injuries. He will happily work with your GP, surgeons and all your trusted allied health professionals you currently have to add to your overall clinical management. Injuries can be acute from the weekend's game or a fall down the stairs or chronic such as a sore back or groin. He can also manage other medical issues which may affect athletes such as asthma, concussion and fatigue.
In particular he can supply walking boots and knee braces if indicated and also administer injections such as cortisone, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and hyaluronic acid (Synvisc, Durolane, Monovisc). He is also experienced in the use of PRP/hyaluronic combination injections (Regenlab Cellular Matrix) and PRP gel (Regenlab ATS).
Wilson can also perform musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid with the diagnosis of injuries and it can be also used for guided injections and aspirations. Bruce Sports Medicine is an accredited practice via the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme.
